Drawing Cartoons In Real Life

Recently I saw a post on Google+ that showed one of my favorite anime characters drawn into a real life setting. So I decided to try it out myself. I took a picture while I was on vacation in Portland of a family friend's house and drew a character in the photo. I don't really know how to do the shadow without making it look bad, so I just dismissed that part... :)

The issue with not having a shadow on this is that one may not be able to tell that I didn't make the character slouch back in the couch. He's sitting up (just clarification).
